Theodosia has a great popularity among tourists and travellers last times. Because the history of the city attracts with interesting events, memorial places and sights. The climate and landscape of Theodosia are remind the famous resorts of Greece and Italy.

Theodosia is one of the ancient towns in the world. It’s compete with – Athens, Pome in antiquity. Officially the history of the town begins from the second part of G-th century before our times. Later in 1880 the big hall with mirrow ceiling was build. Here the painter showed his pictures. The exhibitions in the gallery are popular among the citizens and guests of the town. The Museum of local lore helps you to have an opinions about past and future of Theodosia. It’s situated in the same building, where is the Gallery of Aivazovsky. The Museum of Green can equainted you with many interesting facts and things, which connected with life and work of this writer.

Many famous painters lived in Theodosia such as: V.J. Muchina, L.F. Lagorio, A.J. Feisler, C.F. Bogaevsky. The buildings where they lived and worked is a memorial now.

There are many interesting monuments of medieval azchitecture on the territory of Theodosia. They are: templ of Gavriila and Michaila on the Timirazeva Str. (1408), the templ of St. Sergia an Armenian Church which was build in 15 century, near by the grave of Aivazovsky. The Memorial of Turkish architecture is Muchte –Jammy Mosque (1623) on the Lenin Str.

From Theodosia you can make interesting travel by car or by sea in Kerch, Koktebel, Alushta, Sudak, Stariy Crimea. There is a house of creative writers which is made from the small residence of Voloshina.
